Today I will give you the hidden gems of Copenhagen. Cool bars and places that I recommend visiting. Who knows, you might even meet me there!

1. Town of meat

Meat-town aka. Kodbyen is during the day the place of purchase of basic products for restaurants or other businesses related to food. At night it is a social meeting point in the center of Copenhagen. There are several great places worth visiting in Meat-town, like Karriere’s Bar or Jolenes for a more hippy approach. It’s a much older crowd ranging in age from 25-30, bar prices are average to high, and the music seems well thought out, compared to other places you might stumble upon in Copenhagen. If you like an older crowd and a different experience then your typical night clubs then Meat-town is not a bad place to visit.

2. Heidi’s Brewery

Heidi’s Brewery has 2 floors. Both floors have a fussball table, they offer a large variety of different beers, so if you are a beer enthusiast you will like this place. The crowd is older, 24-28 and they have a dance floor that is quite small but doable. It’s a dimly lit place and the waitresses are all neatly dressed in German waitress outfits. There is no entrance fee, but there is a 20kr cloakroom fee. I usually just sneak off and drop my jacket at a table with a friend, I’m cheap.

3. Carlos

Fullname Karel Van Mander is a nightclub located right next to the large Magasin shopping center and can be reached via the pedestrian street or from Kongs Nytorv Metro street. Karel drives an amazing looking club with exquisite interior design and probably has the hottest girls in town, shuffling around the place. They have an outdoor area which is perfect for the summer and a good size dance floor in the middle. The music is mainly house and dance with a mix of today’s popular songs. The age group ranges from 18 to 25 years. However, the age requirements change from Thursday to Saturday. Unfortunately the prices in the bars are very high, but if you have the money to burn then you won’t look better doing it anywhere else than here. Karel can drive them to attract the hottest girls in Copenhagen, so if you’re looking to hook up with a nice little turbo, look no further than here. There are a lot of turbos here. The entrance price is around 100 dkk, but the wardrobe is free.

4. Happy Pig

The Happy Pig is located near skindergade. It has a fairly young crowd from 21 to 25 years old. It has 2 dance floors on the top floor and also a live band area downstairs where they play live music regularly. The bar prices are quite low and the people are generally quite friendly. There is a wardrobe fee of 20 dkk and it is not optional. They broadcast soccer matches, when there are important matches, so you might want to check it out, if you are interested in soccer.

5. Francis Pony

Francis Pony is a student bar, but that doesn’t mean it’s flagging in terms of style. It has a young but mature crowd that usually ranges from 22-24 and most of them are business students or something. Bar prices are average to high and it has 2 floors. There is no actual dance floor, which would be impossible since the place is quite packed on the weekends. If you are a student then it is a great place to go and socialize. Free entrance and optional closet. Drink prices are a bit expensive, so it’s not the best place to warm up.
