Cha De Burge is a small tree found predominantly in the Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, Bahia, Acre, and Goiás. The trees produce cherry-like fruit (resembling coffee beans) that are used to kill viruses, reduce fevers, and aid weight loss. It is often used as a diuretic. A diuretic can be defined as a substance or drug that tends to increase the discharge of urine. However, this can be beneficial in helping to flush impurities out of the body, as more urine leaves the body; more fluid (preferably water) should be replenished to maintain a healthy hydration balance.
Well, that’s great, you’ll go to the bathroom more, but that’s not all. It can also decrease appetite, reduce cellulite, increase energy, and support better circulation. Regarding decreased appetite, it does not completely eliminate the desire to eat, rather, when taken orally 30 minutes before a meal, most report feeling full after the first few bites. Essentially, Cha is more effective at controlling food portions than hoodia.
On the downside, it does contain caffeine. If you are known to have tremors, nervousness, nausea, or any other side effect of a cup of coffee, this supplement may not be right for you. Hoodia would be the best choice.
Cha has also become a good energy replacement for the popular diet ingredient ephedra. Ephedra was known for its energizing abilities; however, many ephedra-related deaths caused the FDA to ban any supplement containing this ingredient from sale in the United States.
