Costumes to wear at Disneyland in winter

Despite the grip of winter, your daughter wants to wear her Disney princess costumes at Disneyland. Disaster? It does not have to be this way. There are some costumes that will keep the little one warm enough to be outside during the day. If not, there are ways to incorporate winter clothing into those Disney princess costumes.

Pirate costumes are great for young children. Arrrr, friend! These costumes are well suited to winter weather. Tell him to be long pants (preferably something thick!) Instead of capris. Tuck a long sleeve or sweater under that tattered pirate shirt and, if necessary, slip a skinny beanie underneath the bandana.

The superhero is another costume that naturally covers most of the body, making it an excellent choice for winter activities. If your child wants to dress up as a superhero, be sure to add layers under the body of the costume. Lace up your cape and you’re good to go!

A cowboy is a great costume for Woody from Toy Story this year. What about Indiana Jones? Choose a thick flannel shirt for the top of your cowboy costume. The vest in these costumes is essential, keeping your little one’s core warm will help the rest of him stay warm as well. Layer up your pants and you should be ready for whatever the weather throws at you.

Girls costumes are fun too. Many children love to dress up as Princess Cinderella. Since most Princess Cinderella costumes are short-sleeved, they can be difficult to prepare for winter. White elbow-length gloves look elegant with this dress, but they may not be warm enough. Try wearing a skin-colored thermal garment under your Cinderella princess costume. A light blue or white thermal would also work. Under the dress, wear more than tights, go for sweatshirts! It’s great to add thick layers under the dress where no one can see them.

A witch is a fun costume to turn into wintery attractions. Underneath the black witch costume, add some bright green thermals. This works even better if the dress shows a bit of an ankle! She’ll feel more evil than ever with a little green skin poking out of her wicked witch costume. Green gloves will finish off the look. Make sure you have a beanie under that thin witch hat!

Is Princess Snow White beautiful in a red, blue and gold dress too difficult for your girl to drop? Well tell her she can still dress up as Princess Snow White at Disneyland this year. This is another dress to add sweatshirts and a long sleeve shirt underneath. Since the Snow White princess costume is not as ornate as the Cinderella princess dress, it lends itself better to a coat over it. A simple black coat you have on hand can go well with this dress, or a white fur-lined coat would work as well.

If you have teenagers, let your teen give his own private concert at Disneyland this winter. The best thing about this Diva outfit is that you can make her look however you want! Put on fur-lined boots over skinny jeans and look for a top that has sparkles or sequins. Top that off with a trendy winter coat and Hannah Montana wig, and you’re sure to pass off as a super winter diva!
