For all the mix masters and aspiring DJs out there, Activision brings you DJ Hero, the latest addition to its successful Guitar Hero series. With DJ Hero you can mix and scratch with some of your favorite hip-hop and electronic artists including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Eminem, Cut Chemist, Z-Trip, DJ Shadow, DJ AM, J.Period, Grandmaster Flash, Daft Punk and Jay Z.

DJ Hero features a tracklist of 93 original mixes of over 102 songs covering a wide range of music genres including hip-hop, electronica, R&B, Motown, pop, and rock. Here are some of the artists you’ll hear: JAY-Z, Eminem, Daft Punk, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, The Killers, Kid Cudi, Gwen Stefani, Marvin Gaye, Beck, The Beastie Boys and many more.

The game’s wireless Turntable controller brings an innovative new twist to the “Hero” series, as players use the Turntable to mix and scratch original remixes from the track list. The wireless turntable controller features a rotating turntable that has 3 “drive” buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader, and a “Euphoria” button. And don’t worry lefties; the turntable controller can be adjusted to accommodate left-handed gamers.

But what if you have a friend who is only concerned with catching up with the new wave and still prefers to jingle and hum? Well, Activision didn’t want to leave anyone out, so they snuck in ten specially mixed songs that are compatible with the game Guitar Hero in “DJ vs. Guitar” mode. And for all the MCs in the house, the game supports a microphone for unmarked gaming. The game also features some online play in “DJ vs. DJ” mode.

The game is available on PS3, PS2, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. There are two versions of the game available: DJ Hero Standard Edition and DJ Hero Renegade Edition. DJ Hero Standard Edition comes with the game software and exclusive turntable/mixer. The Renegade Edition is an upgraded version that includes some additional features. The Renegade Edition comes with an upgraded Renegade Turntable Controller, a Turntable carrying case that converts into a ready-to-play DJ stand, and an exclusive two-disc CD of music from Jay-Z and Eminem (including previously unreleased tracks!).
