Let’s be honest. Do the letters crawl on the paper like ants when you put a pen on it? Is your mind full of thoughts that you desperately want to act out? Do even the smallest things provoke a barrage of words? Then you must be a writer, like me!

Well, that’s what I call myself. I feel terribly loaded like a pregnant woman with ideas and once she’s given up—ah!—I’ve delivered the baby!

So much hype about just words? – you can think. But the writers are crazy overprotective of their work. However, there are times when the need to express outweighs the need to win! This is when the writers compromise and agree to do “ghostwriting.”

Writing an article and allowing it to be published under someone else’s name is called “ghostwriting.” The reason writers turn to ghostwriting may be lack of money, lack of work, or lack of inspiration.

Having said all this, why do you want to moan? Yes, I must moan and scream like a banshee for the sake of all you ghostwriters like me! We Ghost-writers are a clan, you see, who feel that “writing is like a way to breathe”. Yes, in a way writing is a liberation for us. We feel free and happy when we write and happier when we see our works leap from the printed screen. So when we don’t find that way out, we become grumpy. So we settle for something (ghostwriting) better than nothing (no writing).

Yes, cursed is our fate when we see that all those hours of hard work are attributed to others. It’s like giving your child up for adoption. So what should one do? You can’t have the cake and eat it too!

Yeah! So these are my suggestions to my fellow Ghost-Writers to keep ghosting and gain some credibility.

1. Let your writing speak for itself.

Ghost-Writers have our own style, something unique and distinctive. If you don’t take credit for one, start developing one then and do it now!

Even when you write ghost, try to weave your magic spell in that style of yours!

Make your article reflect your personality!

2. The indelible seal

Mark your items with that indelible stamp of yours. If the strength of your content is its eloquence of language, let your article prove it. If you are a thorough researcher, then let the facts in the article speak for you. If you have a systematic approach, let your structured article show it off.

In short, make your article scream your name LOUDLY!

3. Try to make a hole for yourself.

Pick a few subjects or topics and become an expert on them. Become the master of those topics. Then fill those segments with your articles. Create a fan base for your articles. Be sure to choose segments that are trending and have a regular stream of visitors who want more.

Once you do this, your reader base will begin to look forward to updates and articles from you on these topics. Let your regular readers know that if we need this genre, only so-and-so can provide it.

You have now created your own niche where you will be instantly recognizable even by any other name!

So fellow ghosts, I mean Ghost-writers, stop complaining and start haunting, I mean writing!
