P90X training equipment: what do you really need to do the P90X training?

What is the required P90X training equipment? Here is some background information.

Tony Horton, the creator of the Beach Body P90X exercise program, has put together 12 different exercises that can be easily performed at home with just a few pieces of equipment. There is no need for an expensive Bowflex, Total Gym, or Bio Force TNT that costs thousands of dollars. The P90X can help you achieve your fitness or bodybuilding goals.

These 12 videos take you through a 12-week or 90-day program for a lean, defined body. Believe it or not, it works!

All you need to get a great workout is a P90X training equipment.

This is what you will need:

* A set of good quality resistance bands.

* Chin-up bar

* Push up stands or a perfect push up

Instead of resistance bands, you can buy a set of dumbbells. Unfortunately, you’ll have to buy multiple sets unless you want to switch plates. You can buy Bowflex Select Tech dumbbells, but they don’t come cheap!

The Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells, for example, offer resistance from 5lbs to 52.5lbs, and will set you back $399. On the other hand, a set of Bodylastics Terrel Owens resistance bands offers from 5 pounds to 249 pounds of resistance. Under $100 and backed by a lifetime warranty against defects.

I personally prefer resistance bands, not only because of the lower price, but because they are portable, adaptable, and more versatile than the dumbbell set. If you are looking for a good set of resistance bands. I would recommend Bodylastics Home Gym or The Golds Gym Resistance Bands. Of the two, Bodylastics offers more options.

In regards to a pull up bar. There are a few options here, if you’re looking for low cost. You can use the resistance bands to do pull downs, instead of doing chin-ups or pull-ups. Or you can buy a simple pull up bar for entry for around $20, and it will work just as well as the $50 P90X pull up bar.

When it comes to push-ups, do you really need push-up stands or a perfect push-up? The answer is both, yes and no. Both of these items will reduce the strain on your wrists and allow you to go deeper into your pushups, on the other hand, you can do pushups between two chairs and get the same results. Regardless of what you decide, push-up stands or the perfect push-up, they are both inexpensive, costing around $30 for a set.

That’s more or less the “required” P90X training equipmentYou can also consider a mat to do some of the abdominal exercises, but it is not essential.
