Spiritual Law – The Law of Compensation – The sixth of Bob Proctor’s 11 Forgotten Laws

The Law of Spiritual Compensation, as presented by Bob Proctor in the 11 Forgotten Laws, is about increasing our capacity in every way; our ability to receive, attract and praise, for example. The first thing we must understand is that the Law of Compensation is a spiritual law. For example, be a spiritual lawit has nothing to do with employment law, medical malpractice, or the study of economic law.

Although the Law of Compensation seems to have a more practical basis than some of the other 11 Forgotten Laws, it is important to remember that the underlying power is based on the fact that the Law of Compensation is a spiritual law.

Here is an illustration given by Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey in this lesson. Let’s say you sit at a table with 6 people and a cake cut into 6 pieces. If you or anyone else wants a second piece of pie, then someone has to go without. The logical solution seems to be to cut the cake into smaller pieces. When we’re working from the Law of Compensation, however, the solution is to get a bigger pie!

This solution, although it seems ready to use, at first glance it seems quite practical, and it is. But as you learn more about it, you will correctly see that this is a spiritual solution based on spiritual law.

The lesson on the Law of Compensation, unlike some of the other 11 Forgotten Laws, has many aspects. Another aspect is the idea of taking responsibility. Blaming others, the economy, or God for our circumstances is not only a waste of time, it actually makes the situation worse.

Instead, we must take inventory of how we not only think but operate in the world. We are given three examples of attitudes and actions that prevent us from succeeding.

  • Do I expect something for nothing? Do I try to avoid paying a bill or have someone else pay the bill?
  • am i cheap Am I happy to get the best deal without thinking about the other person’s rights to profit?
  • Do I pay for what I receive? Here Bob Proctor gives examples of using this spiritual law to fulfill our responsibilities.

The Law of Compensation as a spiritual law has a depth and depth that cannot be fully covered here. Bob and Mary talk about competition vs. creation for example.

The Law of Compensation also makes it clear that if we want to live a life with freedom but do not strive to change in any way, things will not be different. But once we have decided to put spiritual law into action, which at first seemed so difficult that we later wondered what was stopping us.
