The womb of creation

When a dying patient closes his eyes to the world around him, he enters deeply into himself. Within each of us there is a wide variety of experiences that move us deeper and deeper into understanding how sacred our lives are. I wrote the following poem to my friends at Hospice. It contains elements of expressions that you will hear me talk about in the content of this article. The title of this poem is “The Heart of a Woman.”

the heart of a woman

flowing

like a waterfall

descending

like a torrent

up a steep mountain.

diving into an abyss

deeper and deeper

creating waves

expanding its internal tides

vibrating in being

the movements of a dance.

free flowing

through endless streams

every vibe

extends

in the heart

of everything.

This great variety of purity

anointed

those who get in his way

bath

in the spirit of a woman

whose heart reveals his soul.

In each of our lives, there are times when we want to close our eyes and enter this womb state. It is the desire to enter the feminine spirit where we are blessed, seen as good, wanted and loved. The feminine side of our being creates a sense of care that the world around us cannot. When we enter her presence, we are entering wisdom and creation.

Any work of art, manuscript, play or film is created from the intention of the feminine spirit to manifest the deepest longings of a person’s soul. She does not do this with conditions. The conditional world is the world around us that we seek to find our identity. However, to truly know who we really are requires the intention to seek what cannot be seen. As we enter the world of insight, the ability to see from within, we are entering this wisdom that created us.

The Feminine aspect of our Creator transports us to the world of contemplation. Our ability to be aware of our consciousness is a great gift. When we witness and feel the privilege of being fully human, we are given the opportunity to experience our spirit in flesh and blood. We are given the opportunity to experience our Creator’s created order that continues to draw us into our natural state of who we truly are. Babies entering the world through the womb of creation offer a level of understanding of bliss and the experience of connection to a greater birth that takes place beyond the physical aspect of birth. For within each birth lies a mother and father whose involvement with the female spirit forever alters their identity.

In a real way, a new mother and a new father are transformed. He or she will never think the same again. And living to satisfy one’s own needs is no longer possible at the deepest levels of our being. I have been fortunate to encounter the feminine spirit, in a profound way, with the birth of my son Luke and my daughter Emilee. They are precious beings to me and inspire me to be a better person every day. Currently, Luke and Emilee are in their teens. They have an innocence that helps me remember my place in the world as a child, a child of the Creator whom I call God.

My children touch places in my heart that help me identify with my natural state to trust an inner knowing within me. It is my identification with life that transcends all appearances in this world. This life within me is eternal and much more real than anything I can find in this world. Everything that is born moves through this spatial consciousness within us, it is the womb of creation. The feminine spirit makes life spring from nothing. She has the ability to give hope to the blind, free those held captive by their minds and emotions, inspire great things from ordinary people like you and me, and give us the courage to see through the veil of death, and in, eternal life. Sooner or later, each of us will take this path. It is a journey that will take us to the heart of God.
