Media files can be easily viewed from a PC network or USB device. It even has Toshiba’s new online platform ‘Toshiba Places’ which allows you to watch videos, listen to music and access various other services.
It’s more of a silvery-gray color compared to the standard black that most TVs in this genre come in. Its slim bezel blends well with the back of the TV, giving it a great overall slim look and will fit perfectly in any room in your home. It’s a good start in terms of features for a TV that costs less than £400 in the UK, but there’s so much more to this great unit.
The Toshiba 32RL858B has plenty of connections, including three HDMI, a USB, a D-Sub PC port, and an Ethernet port. A dongle can also be added to the USB slot allowing Wi-Fi access. You get a Full HD display, an excellent 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and 100Hz processing. There are countless image and display options in the on-screen menu that allow for numerous personal configurations and adjustments. Picture quality was never going to be as good as some four-figure LED TVs, but it’s far superior to most 32-inch models out there.
The on screen menu is really easy to use and everything is displayed very well. The Toshiba 32RL858B remote control surpasses the look and feel of other budget LED TVs with a robust, solid feel along with a well-arranged button layout. As with any modern slim TV, you don’t get the booming sound quality and bass of older CRT TVs, but that’s par for the course these days.
