Vath V63 AMG supercharged

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series has already arrived at dealerships around the world. Owners started receiving the latest model of the Black series no more than two months ago and we already have the first adjusted version. German specialists Vath have created the V63 AMG Supercharged, elevating the Black Series to even greater proportions.

The 6.2-litre engine puts out a staggering 756 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. To get this amount of power, Vath added a compressor system, electronic engine adjustments, and in-house manufactured air and water cooling systems. 0-100 km/h times are reduced to just 3.6 seconds and top speed increases to 350 km/h. The cost of these updates is 38,500 euros including taxes.

Vath is also offering a stainless steel exhaust manifold system for €2,890, a stainless steel catalytic converter for €1,890 and a remote-valve-controlled rear silencer for €3,540. Suspension improvements lower the V63 Supercharged from 20 to 65mm, adjusting rebound and compression. The price of the suspension components is 2,490 euros.

The braking system is all new at the front and consists of 405mm discs. The price for these is €5,490, including adapter, mounting kit and flexible steel lines, and another €1,490 for a gear oil cooler. The wheels are three-piece forged units measuring 9×12 inches with 255/30-20 tires up front and 11×20 inches with 295/25-20 tires in the rear. These cost 7,450 euros.

Inside, Vath offers a sports steering wheel finished in leather and carbon details for the dashboard that costs 1,450 euros. A new speedometer that raises the dials up to 400 km/h can be installed for a price of 1,890 euros. Vath raced the car at the 2012 Tuner Grand Prix last weekend!

Mercedes-Benz today announced the first official AMG variant of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class in the form of the GL63 AMG. The GL63 AMG will compete with the BMW X5M, the Range Rover Supercharged and the Toyota Land Cruiser. It is the second SUV in the Mercedes range to receive the AMG treatment, after the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG.

The GL63 AMG features the AMG 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that has become synonymous with the ’63’ badge. In the GL-Class it produces a maximum power of 557 hp and a maximum torque of 760 Nm. This enables a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. For those who need to know, the economy figures are 12.3 liters per 100 kilometers (288 g CO2/km).
