Walking and exercise: why are walking and exercise exactly the same thing?

Do you think that walking and exercising are the same? The answer is yes!

Do you think other people think that walking and exercising are the same? I’m almost sure not!

The main reason people find it hard to think of walking and exercising in the same range is mainly because of how we’ve been brainwashed.

From day one, we’ve been fed the idea that to look good and feel good, you have to push yourself to the upper limit, until you can accomplish virtually nothing else, but this is just a myth.

The reason this isn’t real is this… when we exercise, we are consuming energy located in the body. Some as body fat from our body fat tissues and others as glycogen from muscle tissues.

All of these calories are our fuel, just like oil can be for a car. Take a long jaunt in your car and you’ll use a lot of fuel. And our body is very similar to exactly the same.

Any movement that we do will actually allow us to burn fat calories and a part of these will be extracted from the fat deposits that we have in our bodies.

The fuel we use comes primarily from our carbohydrates or fat stores, however the amount of each we use can be influenced by ourselves.

You can decide whether to use the carbohydrate stores of your muscles or the body fat that you have attached to your hips, buttocks and thighs, and it’s actually very easy.

It comes down to the intensity level you are working at. High-intensity exercise routines where you practically crawl away on your hands and knees should have burned a significantly higher percentage of carbohydrates compared to excess fat.

Contrary to this, walking burns more fat. The reason behind this is that when you exercise at a lower intensity for a longer time, you will primarily burn fat cells.

Doing this means you are using body fat and not glycogen (carbohydrates) stored in your muscles.

If your goal is to lose weight, walking and exercising are the same thing. If you love pushing yourself to the point where you can’t complete anything else and you really don’t feel like walking and working out are the same thing, in that case why not do both?

I assure you that if you supplement your normal exercise classes with a well-balanced walking system, you will lose weight considerably faster than just using your normal exercise routine alone.

In case you don’t do either, now might be a great time to start because walking is an effective technique for weight loss and toning up, if you do it right!

If you want to shed some body fat and tone up, but don’t want to spend hours in the gym, why not try walking? It’s cheap, easy to do, and gives you remarkable results, if you stick with it.
