What to do while traveling in Mauritius

Whenever people hear about all-inclusive holidays in Mauritius, they immediately think that these holidays are enjoyed by newlyweds who are on their honeymoon. This is one thing that people overlook about Mauritius; no matter how romantic the place is, it can be a very versatile destination for all types of travelers. There are plenty of activities to enjoy whether you’re traveling with a small group or solo, and in this article, we’ll look at some sights to see and activities to try on the island.

Soak up the summer sun by exploring the beaches. The beautiful island of Mauritius is home to some of the best beaches in the world, including Belle Mare beach and La Cuvette beach. How many times have you imagined sunbathing while drinking your favorite cocktail? The best place to live that dream is this beautiful island! The crystal clear waters reflect the sky that is the bluest of blue. This relaxing view is what awaits you when you spend the day at the beach. If you’re on the extreme side, you can try Mauritius’ offbeat water sports like deep-sea fishing and kitesurfing.

Feast your eyes on the natural and man-made wonders at Chamarel. One of the attractions of this town in the Rivière Noire District of Mauritius is Seven Colored Earths, a small patch of sand dunes that literally shows seven different colors of the earth. The town also has several waterfalls that will surely enchant any tourist. If you want to get in touch with your playful side, you can visit the Curious Corner of Chamarel, a house of illusion that will give your photographs an unconventional twist and a momentary disconnection from reality.

Delight your palate with delicious Mauritian street food. Their street food is literally a melting pot of every cuisine you can imagine: Chinese, Creole, Spanish, African, and Indian. His dishes are full of colors with flavors that will not disappoint. They are not difficult to find, you can even find some street food stalls near the beach. We suggest you try their curry-based dishes, the samosas, their version of roti (which is usually filled with grois pois, or butter bean curry), and even pineapples sprinkled with spicy salt!

Rent a car and drive through the cities of Mauritius. If you run out of things to do (although we’re highly unlikely to use this!) in Mauritius, get behind the wheel and discover charming villages and other sights to see. There are many car rental services in the city, so you can easily find one that you can use for the day. The island has amazing roads that face the ocean, and without the city traffic you’re used to, this can easily become therapeutic. So if you find yourself with a day off during an all-inclusive vacation, you know what to do.
