Candida dies insomnia: can insomnia be cured with an anti-candida diet?

Someone I know has been diagnosed with allergies to dairy products, nightshades, aspartame, sugar, chocolate, and Candida albicans. He suffers from IBS, chronic joint pain, weight gain, and chronic candida dies from insomnia. You’ve pretty much eliminated allergy-causing foods, but you haven’t seen any relief in symptoms. Also, you are not following an anti-Candida diet. What you are asking is: has anyone experienced insomnia as the main symptom and has it experienced an improvement with diet?

Personally, when my symptoms were at their peak, I had a hard time lying down due to the tightness in my chest. I was so tired that I fell asleep right away and half an hour later I woke up with chest pain, a feeling of emptiness and a lot of flatulence. He would spend most of the rest of the night pacing around. After I started to figure out what it was really about, I started drinking hot water and fresh ginger root first thing in the morning as a kind of blush. I also kept mineral water next to my bed at night, which helped.

One night, when I woke up again with the same symptoms, I went downstairs and prepared the ginger root in hot water. And it seemed to help me and I fell asleep without interruption. I also take a bite of ginger root. I find that it seems to calm my system. Even if you don’t have the same symptoms, it may help. I know even drinking water on its own helped and I mean pints! I am now following a yeast and dairy free diet. For the most part, I no longer have the symptoms and it worked pretty quickly.

My symptoms come from prescription drugs, synthetic steroid hormones (including the “birth control pill” and corticosteroids), and antibiotics for many years. I know taking iron pills has helped me too, but I think this is more of my individual fixer than something applicable to everyone with yeast infection.

However, you must follow the diet after all. Refined foods feed yeast all day and all night, which contributes to insomnia. I noticed an improvement in my sleep, but I still have it as a problem. I found that Pro-gest helped me fall asleep, as well as taking extra minerals along with calcium and magnesium.
