Futuristic Restaurants You Must Visit

If you ever want to explore the limits of culinary innovation, you should consider heading to one of these exciting restaurants for a bite to eat. In the past, the innovation in the world of cooking may have been a new convection oven, or perhaps a fryer that conserves the use of oil. However, there are some places that really push the limits of creating a futuristic dining atmosphere and advanced food preparation methods.

One aspect of futuristic restaurants is innovations in service and how food is ordered and delivered. In Dubai, the interactive restaurant Ebony has taken this approach. People who visit the place can expect to be able to order from the menus that are displayed on the tables. Ordering is not only a simple swipe of the hand, but visitors can watch their food being prepared on screens. This feature is probably great for those who are especially interested in who handles their meals and what the preparation process entails. In addition to these features, customers can change the color and pattern of their tablecloth with a simple click and even order taxis.

Futuristic restaurants cannot be complete without robots. At a venue located in Harbin, China, guests are served by a fully robotic staff. These robots can converse in basic Chinese with customers, guide guests to their table, take their orders, and deliver them to them. These robotic staff members work through carefully designed motion sensors and are equipped to display a wide range of facial expressions. The best robotic experience may be at the Robot Restaurant which is tucked away in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. There, the guests receive more than just a meal, but a complete show. For example, bosses get a chance to see robots engage in mock battles. In some of these battles, beautiful women in bikinis ride impressively large fembots and fight each other. The entire place is outfitted with colorful neon lights and quirky decor.

You may not expect a McDonald’s to make the list, but here it is. While these fast food restaurants in the United States may look nearly identical, there are extreme variations abroad. For example, in Batumi, Georgia, this fast food chain is situated in a beautiful interior garden that has immaculately designed swimming pools and green areas. Designed by a well-known architectural firm called Khmaladze Architects, the space is under a stylized glass dome that houses the dining room, a gas station and gardens. While it’s not clear if it happens, the lettuce for the burgers could just as easily come from the lush indoor garden.
