When a person is in contact with nature and takes the time to look at the many creations through which spirit has expressed itself on this planet, you really begin to see the truth of that. There is an element of spirit in everything, both animate and inanimate, but it’s quite easy to forget that as people’s lives become extremely busy with things like family, work, and pretty much life in general. But truly your life is what you make of it and you have the choice of how you want to spend the time you have here. As Gandalf said in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, “All you have to do is decide what you want to do with the time you’re given.” So ask yourself, what is important to you?
Growing up on a farm outside of a quiet community of about 400 people, I got to spend a lot of time with the different animals on the farm and get to know their personalities, particularly the cats and dogs. As I got older, I continued to have animals in my life, even though I wondered about the world as a young adult.
Lately I have had the privilege of spending a lot of time with our two rabbits and seeing how one in particular interacts with the other and with us has led me to believe that the level at which he is aware and has developed his personality indicates that he is spirit expressing through of this animal. The intelligence to make independent decisions as well as his joy could only mean that he is spirit. From their point of view, they are aware of what is happening with us and with the planet.
Looking back on my younger years, the same is true for those animals as well. It gives one a new level of respect for the self. Compared to a human being, he has limitations, but given a safe and welcoming environment, he will express himself freely and openly. It is very much like a young child who has not been influenced by the outside world, society, religion, education, etc. There is so much purity in the creature and I feel that it is its true expression in this world, and there as a reminder to humanity.
God Source wants to play and enjoy life, but at some point humanity forgot that, but fortunately, if one is sensitive enough and has enough patience and wonder, their beloved pets can help them remember a better and more enriching way to spend the time they gave you here. Remember that you too are a spiritual being having a human experience, just like my bunny is a spiritual being having a rabbit experience.
