YouTube now reaches 1 billion views a day

YouTube is undoubtedly one of the biggest video sites out there, the site itself started like any other site would have. Built from scratch and struggling to make ends meet. But because the idea and concept were so innovative, it became a worldwide hit. It wasn’t until the multi-billion dollar company Google decided to buy the site that it really started to take off. With more money pouring into the site, it could develop and become much more stable and that is exactly what has happened in recent years, YouTube has grown from strength to strength.

But only recently, the company has reached a new milestone, after growing at a tremendous rate, the company is now averaging over a billion visits per day on the site. The site is expanding more and more and YouTube is rumored to be looking to sign deals with broadcasters to start playing full shows on their site. The Google-owned site has previously signed similar full deals in the US and has publicly expressed interest in signing other content deals around the world.

Think of it this way, the Internet is growing a lot; everything is close enough to be online that the best approach for YouTube and the combined broadcasters is to integrate with each other. We’ve seen a huge rise in smartphones, and in the next decade, people will want to be able to stream full-length movies on their phones so they can watch shows on the go.

Basically our phones will become a full media device most phones may even have a projector button which allows them to stream live video which they can then project on a wall to watch a live football game or any other program .

I think any video startup site will now find it very difficult to compete with YouTube, not only that but the market is very saturated, there are literally so many different video sites today. Having said all this, the growth of YouTube is really amazing. To summarize, YouTube’s CEO said that Mr. Hurley concluded his blog post by saying, “We’re working hard to keep up with the fast pace of technology to bring you everything you’d expect from the world’s largest video site: better quality. ; a full spectrum of options and tools for users, partners and advertisers, and ways to personalize the YouTube experience anywhere, anytime.”
