5 dream vacations that went wrong

“An adventurous hike in the Amazon rainforest, a glass of ice cold beer on the beaches of Fiji, or maybe a party in Cancun?”

After all that office work, all that stress from your boss (imagine yourself as a geek in Dilbert hell), all the horrible news on TV, and all the pressures of life, don’t you just want to take a vacation and leave? you worry behind?

I was thinking of taking another trip myself, but after reading the news and outrageous flight fares, I wasn’t exactly satisfied with what I read. Chances are, after these 5 stories, you will think twice before going on vacation.

Until death do us part
And so it begins: happily ever after. I was not so happy when my husband went home alone without his wife. Apparently his wife died while diving, panicked and her husband was unable to do anything. What made family and friends suspicious? Some speculations:

> David Gabriel Watson, is a certified rescue diver.
> His diving equipment was in good condition
> Inconsistent stories during investigations
> Finally, the father told the police that Gabe had asked his wife, named Christina, to increase his life insurance and make him the sole beneficiary. Haven’t we seen too many murder stories to solve this?

Be careful what you eat
I believe that everyone with a heart for adventure will want to try local delicacies wherever they visit. But hold that fork! Be careful what you eat … because you don’t know what you are eating. Untrained stomachs will definitely reel with these items found in China.

And Matthew Inman would definitely think twice about going to certain countries after bouts of diarrhea and sore cheeks.

Locked up abroad
This appeared in National Geographic and is just a sample of the “drug mules” captured in Peru (and probably all other countries where unsuspecting tourists received packages from friends containing illegal drugs). 2 American Girls were promised a luxury vacation in Lima, Peru, in exchange for bringing something “small” in return. “Small” turned out to be $ 1 million worth of cocaine!

Nature can be your best friend or your worst enemy
The 2004 Asian tsunami reveals heartbreaking stories of couples, families and friends who just wanted to spend a few days in paradise and lose their loved ones. Or, more recently, the tragic sinking of a ship off the coast of the Philippines during a storm.

A grandmother and her 2-year-old grandson just wanted to attend a family reunion, but ended up on the list of possible floating bodies in the coast guard’s search and rescue operation.

A daughter waits for news about her parents and 5 siblings who boarded the MV Princess of the Stars … but at this rate, she knows that she is only waiting for confirmation that they are indeed dead.

If you can, say a little prayer for them, friend.

On a lighter note, just when you thought you had the most amazing vacation, you come home with such a nasty stench that you couldn’t get into your own home.

“Cliff Woodrick returned from a four-week vacation in Quebec with a gruesome sight and an even more unpleasant smell: the carcasses of more than two dozen fish rising and falling in his algae-covered aquarium.

“We had a storm that cut the power while I was gone,” he recalls. “The three filters in the pump were disconnected and some of the electrical connections in the house were broken.”

The holidays went wrong. Oh! Weren’t you looking forward to being on vacation?
