The symbolic union of the masculine and feminine energies within as a meditative form and expanding to all levels of consciousness, thus revealing the supreme reality of creation, is the basis of Tantra. It unifies the masculine and feminine aspects within us, to help us transcend into the unity of the Divine.
The principle of the Feminine is explained in Shakti Tantra as; “Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu, Shakti Rupena Samstita, Namastaseh, namastaseh, namastaseh, namo namahaâ(Prostrations before You, oh Divine Mother Goddess, who inhabits all matter in the form of Shakti).
Devi Rahasyam states that Shakti is mahakali, the great Goddess, creating the three principles or gunas: sattvas, rajas and tamas. They create the fabric of the universe. Rahasya Tantra explains Tantra as “Tanyate vistaryate jnanam anemna iti tantrama(Tantra is the divine scripture by which the light of spiritual knowledge is diffused.)
Lord Shiva is considered the founder of Tantra. At the heart of it is the philosophy of the Upanishads.
Tea agama shastras they are the backbone of all rituals. agama included: Jnana (knowledge); Yoga (meditation); kriya (consecration of idols, rituals); karya (forms of worship).
mahakali it is considered the most outstanding aspect of the Divine Goddess: pure energy, pure spirit. She is adored in any of the 10 aspects of her: Kali, Tara, Shodasi, Bhuvaneshvari, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagala, Matangi and Kamala.

Tantra tells us that the universe of which we are a part is Brahman: the infinite Supreme Consciousness, manifested through the cosmic union of the masculine and feminine energies of Shiva, Eternal Consciousness, and Shakti, feminine energy.
Thus Tantra unites all of reality, when everything achieved on the physical level also intersects on the spiritual level, as an integral part of each one.
